MASA Valve First-In-HUMan Implant

June 2023 - Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, a world-renowned children’s hospital and research institute, became the first site in the world to implant a MASA Valve in a pediatric patient. This marks a significant milestone in PECA Labs’ mission to bring the first polymeric pulmonary valve to market and improve outcomes for patients.

3 Luminaries Join PECA Labs board

May 2023 - PECA Labs has announced it has added Dr. Jeffrey P. Carpenter, Jeffrey O’Donnell, Sr. and Samuel E. Navarro to its board of directors. The new board members will help guide the company as it develops and commercializes cardiovascular implants based on its novel tunable polymeric material platform.

MASA Valve Trial Begins Enrollment

April 2023 - PECA Labs  announced the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) for an early feasibility study (EFS) of its MASA Valve. The MASA Valve is a polymeric valved conduit for pulmonary valve reconstruction. The company has begun enrollment for the study at five clinical sites across the U.S.
